Today at 09:30 a.m., a press event will be held at Troop E Headquarters, 50 Massport Haul Road in South Boston, to announce the establishment of the Driscoll Family Scholarship.
The scholarship was established by the children of William P. Driscoll, former Chairman of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority. The scholarship will provide recipients with an opportunity for an education at Saint Michael’s College, a private Catholic college located in Colchester, V.T.
The scholarship will be granted to the son or daughter of a member of the Massachusetts State Police or of the United States Armed Forces.
Speakers at today’s ceremony will include two sons of William P. Driscoll, John T. Driscoll, retired Chairman of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, and William P. Driscoll, Jr., as well as Jerry Flanagan, Interim Head of Institutional Advancement for Saint Michael’s College.
